My Family

Caleb, Jere, Stacey, Lauren, Evan

My family has been such a HUGE support since my diagnosis of Parkinson's.  Once I was officially diagnosed, Jere was my biggest advocate and cheerleader.  Within the first few months of my research, I found that exercise is the better medicine and it can slow the progression of this disease.  Jere found out that SILVER is the color for Parkinson's so he went out and purchased me a new pair of tennis shoes that were silver.  Then, I found this video on how boxing can slow the progression of Parkinson's.  Jere was insistent that I start to box.  I came home from a weekend with Lauren and he bought me two different boxing bags and gloves.  My husband has been determined to help me FIGHT this disease from the beginning. We are now literally fighting this disease the together.

We have been through so much as a family with losing our son Luke that God continues to show us that we are stronger than we think we are. Our family continues to grow closer as we lean on the Lord through difficult times.  I know my health will continue to decrease but I know that my family will be there for me every step of the way.
